Stone Lake Rifle or Bow Bear hunts We harvest 75% success or better every year.Our biggest bear was 802 lbs.
Franklin has amazing amounts of acres of private hunting land,for you to hunt on. your skills are the only limiting factor in achieving your prize. .There is a maximum of 10 hunters in camp.
Hunters are expected to furnish their own transportation to and from their assigned bait stations (ATV's and 4x4's if you want to hunt remote areas),but for a nominal fee Franklin will transport you to and from your baited stand. Also you are expected to rebait the stations as necessary, we supply bait. Each hunter is given an area. We get the bear to bait, the rest is up to you.
Franklin charges to cape out your bear if you have him do it for you.
Franklin had Mathews TV,host Dave Watson,and crew,filming a bear hunting segment,in Sept,2008.Dave was succesfull in harvesting a nice black bear,and then went on to film Dave taking a great young bull moose with his Mathews bow,in the same week. Rember to book your bear hunt early. We open on August 15th, 2010.
